Obituary of Shirley Ann June Greenslade
GREENSLADE, Shirley
Peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2019, after a brief illness, Shirley Ann June Greenslade (nee Smith) passed away surrounded by her loving family.
Shirley is survived by her dear sister, Betty Smith, niece Sandra Werle, grandnephew Joshua Werle and precious friends Kathy and David Steels. Her cats, Mr. Fisher, Peggy-Sue, and Tommy will also miss her dearly. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Jack and May Smith of St. Catharines, Ontario.
Shirley worked at a legal firm in London for over 35 years, providing dedicated service in the area of accounting. She was valued by everyone involved in the practice and will be fondly remembered.
Shirley was a friendly, positive person, who always had a smile to share with others. She was fiercely independent and strong of spirit but also kind, generous and compassionate. Shirley loved nature, gardening and animals; her cats were the joy of her life. She maintained a lighthearted sense of humor and was grateful for the simple pleasures in life.
Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses of the Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital for the care and comfort provided to Shirley.
Shirley will rest in the Sanctuary at Woodland Cemetery in London, Ontario. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Shirley will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.
