Obituary of Ray Mask

The family is deeply saddened to announce his passing at Victory Hospital on Friday, October 11, 2024 in London Ontario. With family by his side, after a brief illness, he passed without pain and without suffering.

Dear son of the late Edward and Elizabeth Mask. Beloved husband of the late Mary Mask (nee Bremner). Loving Father of Melissa Mask (Tina Chappell), Monica Muntwyler (Trevor Muntwyler) and Michael Mask. Beloved grandfather of Maren and Logan Muntwyler. Brother of Clifford Mask (Carole Evanson), Rita Kuiack, Diane Summers (Murray Summers), Marie Lacombe, Jerome Mask, Ben (Lee Mask), Deborah Sharpe, Ralph Mask (Joyce Mask) and the late Alfred Mask.

Ray was a man of strength, perseverance and faith. He lived a life of service to family, Church and Catholic Education serving as an Elementary School Principal throughout his career with the Sault Ste. Marie Separate School Board with membership in the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association. He strove for excellence in all he did.

Ray brought positivity and light wherever he went. He had immense love and pride for his family and we are blessed to have had him as our father and grandfather.

Many thanks for all the support provided by the medical professionals on 6th floor D300 Medicine. Special Thanks to the physicians and nurses who cared for Ray during his last days and supported the family in his final hours.

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11 am at St. George Roman Catholic Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West London, ON. Inurnment at Woodland Cemetery, 493 Springbank Drive, to follow. Light Luncheon and Celebration of Life with the family to be held 12 noon in the Parish Hall directly after the Funeral Mass.
