I first met Ray Mask and his family onAugust 28th , 1968 at KFC in Sault Ste Marie. It was a warm summer evening and my wife,Barbara, and I had just arrived in the city and stopped to have a meal. The little VW that parked next to us signalled a relationship that would last a lifetime. We quickly found out that Ray was the VP at the school where I would be working. Mary would be working at the Hospital with Barb as she was called. The young ladies in the car, Melissa and Monica have remained our friends to this day.
I have a plethora of pleasant memories of Ray: working with him, socializing on Fridays at the Canadian with a draft beer and pizza, many trips to Sault Michigan, and a memorable OECTA AGM in Windsor. So many laughs, so many good times with the family and a deep respect for this man that time did not diminish.
Rest in Peace,my Friend.
