Obituary of Fred Guillemette

It is with great sadness that the Guillemette family announces the passing of Fred Guillemette on August 5, 2024, in London, Ontario. Fred was predeceased by his parents Dorothy and Amede Guillemette of South Porcupine, Ontario and mother-in-law Lillian & father-in-law William Kellow.

He is survived by his wife, Ginny Guillemette, son Daryl, and wife Johanne Langford, grandson Jason, granddaughter Jessica and husband Jonathan Coté, daughter Elizabeth Ramsammy and husband Bryan, granddaughter Erica, and grandson Joshua. His extended family and many friends will dearly miss Fred.

Fred was the proud owner of the Sports World Sporting Goods store in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, and Trappers Silk Screening & Embroidery in Kirkland Lake and London, Ontario. He was a dedicated member of the Kinsmen Club, raising funds to support the Cystic Fibrosis organization for many years. He also coached and managed hockey teams for many years. Fred enjoyed baseball, golfing, and fishing and was an avid London Knights fan and ticket holder for 20 years.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors and nurses for their outstanding care at the Verspeeten Family Cancer Clinic, especially the blood unit department and ODU on level 2.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, and the family requests that any donations be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Canada or the charity of your choice.
