Obituary of Donald Henry Watson
WATSON, Donald H. (Don) - October 27, 1937 to December 21, 2021
Don passed peacefully at Kensington Village Retirement Home, London on Tuesday, December 21st, 2021. He has joined his beloved wife Margaret (2014). Loving father of Douglas (Susan) Watson and family, Diane (Don) Hewey and family, and Catherine (Paul) Jasek and family. Dear brother of Marleen Watson. Loving brother-in-law of Diane Watson (the late Gord Watson) and Robert Montague. Also missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his twin infants, Linda and Louise, his brothers, Jim (Mary) Watson, Jack (Beth) Watson, brothers-in-law Wilson and Hugh Montague, sisters-in-law Mary (Joe) Huntley and Edna (Max) Scott and his nephews, Jim Watson and Brad Scott.
Don spent his working years as a proud employee of 3M Canada. He was always our “go-to guy” for tape and sandpaper and any new product 3M had on the market. He was a lifetime member of the Corinthian Lodge where he served his brethren and the community for over 60 years.
Don’s joys were simple, walking in the woods at the family cottage in Port Franks, sharing laughs (and beers) around the campfire, enjoying family gatherings, and stopping for a bite at Swiss Chalet.
Special thanks go out to the wonderful, kind and compassionate staff at Kensington Village. You all treated him like family and made it a true home for him. Thank you.
Don has been cremated. A private gravesite service is to be held followed by a celebration of life once COVID 19 restrictions have been lifted. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favourite charity.
