Obituary of Lorna Maranger
Obituary of Lorna Maranger. 1941 to 2021
It is with heavy heart that we annonce the peaceful passing of Lorna on June 14, 2021. She was surrounded by family at Westmount Gardens Nursing Home in palliative care. Lorna lived courageously with bi-polar most of her life, and finally sucummbed to kidney failure, due to the toxicity of what she had to endure to live a realitvely "normal" life
Loving wife of 34 years to James Maranger, loving mother to Janet Dillon (Peter) Proud Grandma to Ryan Dillon (Jennifer), Mitch Dillon (Holly) and Emma Dillon (Derek) as well as her three beautiful Great Grandchildren Brody, Tyson, and Teddy (Edward) Dillon. Lorna is survived by her Siblings Janet Yates,(Roy) John (Julie)Boulton and Graham(Debbie) Rimmington as well as her neices Julie Yates, Jayne and Nephew Dayle as well as cousins.
Lorna will be deeply missed by her stepchildren Michael (Tuesday), Peter (Beverly) and Paul (Robert). She will also be dearly missed by her seven step Grandchildren, whom she loved and cared for very deeply.
Lorna loved her garden, flowers, nature and family. She loved the simple things and mostly she loved enjoying life with her husband Jim, she was always so grateful for those" good days". Lorna loved her church and friends who just adored her and expressed what a beautiful soul she was.
I would like to give special thanks to the caring and hardworking staff at Westmount Gardens Nursing Home - palliative care who treated Lorna with kindness, compassion, respect and hugs. Also to the staff at the Westmount Diaylisis Renal Program Centre, who were so kind to Lorna over the past 4 years.
Cremation has occured at Cemetery and Crematoruium London, Ontario. A Blossom tree has been planted in her honour. A private celebration of Life due to covid will follow at a later date.
