Barb worked with my mother and mum invited her home to meet Murray. "Murray and Barb would be perfect for each other"!
It was love at first sight and over 58 years later...I guess she was right.
I will always remember the special times I had with Barb....one being, when Murray and Barb were first married, we would spend weekends at the beach, having picnics or on road trips with my family. At night, we would curl up in the car and catch some sleep. Barb and I would often hop out of the car and lay on top of the picnic tables and gaze up at the stars until falling asleep. One such time we were sound asleep when mum in a loud whisper called our names. We awakened to mum saying "don't move, don't move, look down at your feet." There very proudly at our feet was a family of skunks. I was absolutely shaking with fear. Barb was shaking too...then I realized she was shaking with laughter. Barb always found the humour and fun in everything!
Your light burned bright Barb and you will be truly missed. May you rest in peace.
