Obituary of Ronald Dennis Monck

MONCK, Ronald Dennis, on Sunday, December 4, 2016 peacefully at his residence, age 82. Ron was predeceased by his parents Eva and Ed Monck, his wife Shirley Lawler, oldest brother Robert, sister-in-law Laurie Nicol, brother-in-law Doug Barnard, son-in-law Rick Steele. Ron leaves his loving children, Judy (Wayne), Dwight (Karen), Pauline (Rick Steele) and Susan (Mike). Ron was proud of his 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Also, survived by his big sister Eleanor, little brother Ross, sister-in-law Nathalie and many loving nieces and nephews who remember his generosity and sense of humour. The family wishes to thank the staff at Queen’s Village where Ron was dearly loved. Special thanks to 2nd floor staff Jessica, Teri, Christina, Gabe, Natasha, Will, Tess, Trevor, Shawn, Vanessa, Laura, Corrinne, Karen, Ryley, Jenn, Sherry, Marco and Dr. Monroe. As Ron always mentioned, “Drive safe and be careful”. Family would also like to thank Woodland Cemetery and their staff, Paul, Carolyn, Roula, Joanne and Grant for their professionalism, kindness and help during these difficult times. Cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering will be held in the Spring. As Ron would say… “Chow”.
