Our deepest condolences to the entire family! As I got to know Dave through business when I worked out of Alberta, it was evident that he was a person who made me feel as part of his business right from the start. After 4 years, we made a trip to Ontario, and he & Sally insisted we stay with them for a couple of days, even though we had never met. We shared a lot of laughs and good times and we always felt as part of his family. He even named his resident groundhog after me - Little Wilf.. What a character!! In the 16+ years of knowing this wonderful man, the laughs we shared, the times he came to BC for trade shows, he was always a gentleman, quite the scholar & philosopher, and jokester. We will miss him, as we miss Sally. He left us too soon. Thanks Dave for your stories & humor, and sharing your adventures with us about your hunting trips, trips to Florida and New Brunswick etc You always took an interest in us and in how we were doing. It was a real privilege to know you. I learned so much from this gentleman known as " Fanman". You will be missed!!!

Dave, a real gentleman, and a colleague and friend to so many.
I've always appreciated his experience, and willingness to share his ventilation knowledge.
And enjoyed his life experiences stories, especially the hunting trip stories.
He will be truly and widely missed.

I will always remember Dave as a genuine person who was gentleman and a great friend. He loved to fish and never forgot to send me pictures of his or his son’s catch so he could make me jealous. Thank you Dave for making my life better,

My deepest condolences to the entire family. I have many great memories of our years deer hunting. Dave was a part of our group for many years and always shared stories of his family. We have many stories from our time with Dave and will raise a glass of scotch this fall at the hunt camp and re-live those wonderful memories. Dan Sceli

To Dave's Family,
I am so sorry for your loss, my heartfelt sympathies to Dave's entire family. Dave and I don't go way back but the time I spent with Dave was very impactful , sincere and very genuine. I am sad but I also feel very fortunate to have known Dave before his passing.
I enjoyed talking to Dave about his trips, his cottage, his early days but the one thing that always gave Dave great joy was talking about his family. Always an ear to ear smile, with a distance look sipping on a coffee...
I do believe others meant more to Dave and respectfully suggest the world would be a better place if we embraced Dave outlook.
I am a better person for meeting Dave and incredibly lucky to have met him. He will be missed but not forgotten.. Stay Strong and Stay Safe..

So sad to learn of Dave’s passing. Reflecting on adventures starting in the early 60s at 250 Faircrest Rd, fast times at Ridgemont High thru to times shared with him, Sal, Ryan & Peter in London while living there in the 80s creates warm, enduring memories.
Those of us who had the opportunity to intersect with the exceptional Stewart family led by Jim & Dot are much better for it. Sincere condolences to siblings Dick, Mary Ellen, Nancy, the Rivers and their extended families who can take comfort from reflecting on the good times full of laughter, great gatherings and the joy they collectively created. Dave’s ability to relate to literally everyone he met was evident working along side him at countless tradeshows. Professionalism, kindness and limitless knowledge all describe the Fanman. However, it was his storytelling (particularly fishing tales) and exceptional sense of humor that will be remembered most. I’m forever grateful for his guidance (in both work and life), comradery and friendship. Cheers my friend.

Dave, Sally, Rob and Peter moved in next door when I was 5 (42 yrs ago). Dave was washing his car one day so I went over to see who this man was who now lived beside me. We exchanged names and Dave complimented me on my purple jacket (which was yellow lol). After multiple times of correcting him, Dave still wasn't getting the colour down pat, soooooo, I picked up the hose he was using to wash his car and sprayed him! He learned his colours quickly after that lol. Dave was a great man and will be missed. RIP fine sir xoxo
