Obituary of Thomas William (Bill) Simpson
Bill passed away peacefully on Monday, November 7th, 2016 after a brief illness. He would have been 81 years of age on November 14th, 2016.
Beloved husband of Betty Lou Simpson for 51 years, dear brother of Keith Simpson (Dawn) and Jim Simpson (Elizabeth). Cherished brother-in-law of Charlie and Marilyn MacDougall, Reg and Deanna Stobo, Terry and Joyce Dawson, Peter and Cecile Dawson and, Bob and Carolyn Dawson. Loved by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Thomas Ray Simpson and his mother Margaret Emily Stephens.
Bill spent 25 years as a Fire Marshall with the Provincial Government. Upon his retirement, he was very involved in many community activities. He was a passionate member of the London Shrine Club and “THE ROYAL ORDER OF JESTERS”.
Bill and Betty Lou travelled extensively throughout the years visiting over 100 countries. Friends will miss his warm, outgoing personality, zest for living and wonderful sense of humour.
A private family inurnment of ashes will be held on Friday, November 25th at Woodland Cemetery. The public is invited to the Mocha Shrine Centre at 468 Colborne Street, London, ON for a Masonic Service by Union Lodge 380 at 3:00 p.m. This will be followed by an open “Celebration of Life” from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
