Obituary of Lawrence Sterling Blackman

BLACKMAN (SIEGFRIED), Lawrence "Larry" Sterling

December 30, 1947 - January 28, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Larry Blackman announces his passing

on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, in his 74th year, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Larry will be lovingly remembered by his three children, Shawn

Blackman (Leigh), Tammy Barker (Bill) and Matthew Blackman (Amy). Larry was

the proud Papa of 11 grandchildren, Cody, Summer, Isaac, Kailey, Elijah,

Jeremiah, Christian, Josiah, River, Liam and Maddy. He will be fondly

remembered by his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Larry had many

friends who will also miss him dearly. Predeceased by his mother Alice.

Larry was a truly exceptional man who will be remembered as a caring and

compassionate father and friend. He was a hard worker who always put

everyone else's needs ahead of his own.

In keeping with Larry's wishes cremation has taken place. Everyone is invited to

attend a Celebration of Larry's Life, which will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2020

at the Royal Canadian Legion located at 311 Oakland Avenue, London, ON

N5W 4J5, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. We look forward to catching up with everyone

in honour of our Dad.
