Obituary of Gerrit Ensing

ENSING, GERRIT In his 82nd year, passed peacefully into the arms of his Saviour on Monday, August 29, 2016 with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Jannie (nee Bosman) for almost 58 years. Loving and proud father of Dennis Ensing (Debbie), Eleanor Verkoeyen (Robert), Teresa Stracuzzi (Franco) and Heather Van Arnhem (Brian). Grandpa and Papa of ten grandchildren and great-grandpa to five. Gerry loved Jesus and was an inspiration and a mentor to many. His gentle spirit and sense of humour live on in the hearts and memories of all he touched. The family would like to thank the many nurses and doctors at LHSC Victoria Hospital and Parkwood’s Palliative Care unit who were involved in his care. A special thank you to Dr. Mario Elia for his personal attention, family support and extended care. Private family interment in Woodland Cemetery will be followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2016 at West London Alliance Church, 750 Wonderland Road North.
