Obituary of Ronald James Carr
CARR , Ronald James (Sam) Ron passed away peacefully at Westmount Gardens Aug. 14, 2016. Predeceased by his beloved Wife Kay and his Parents James and Ilda. Ron will be missed by his Children Laura (Bruce) Rea, Tom (Louise), Steve (Sheila) and Ted. Remembered by Grand Children Richard, Scott, Devon, Kaylan, Jean-Jacques, Stephanie and Great granddaughter, Alyssa. Fondly remembered by Stepdaughter Barbara Pfile (Dale) nee Shirtliff and Step-Grand Children Kelly Hall (Michel) Tyler, Chelsea, Lyndsay and Meaghan; Rick Pfile (Lynda) Josh and Dess; Kris Pfile (Laura) Connor and Jessica; and Terry Pfile (Michelle) Delaney. Ron was born in Bala, went to High School at North Toronto and graduated from U of T in Phys Ed. He served in the Armoured Crops of the Canadian Army for 10 years. He also taught Phys Ed and Geography at Medway High School for 25 years. An avid sportsman, Ron was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Sunningdale Golf Club and the London Curling Club. As per Ron's wishes, Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life and internment will be held at a later date.
