Dear Sheldon,
Saying goodbye to you is one of the saddest and most difficult things that have happened in my life. I never told you this nearly often enough, but you (and Trish) have become apart of my forever family. I could call you one of my best friends, but that doesn’t really work for me. I prefer to call you my brother, as it shows the type of bond we shared. You would do anything for those that you cared about and it is a great quality I wish more people shared. I would not have made it through these last 6 years without your continued support. You had such an amazing heart and I miss you dearly. You were so kind to me, right from the first time we met. This meant to world to me. You had such a big heart and you would help others even if you were struggling yourself, without a second of doubt. I am going to miss the fact that we shared such a similar method of thinking. Our analytical minds sometimes gets us into trouble, but I am glad I had someone who could relate on this level. I will hold that to my heart forever. It has taken me a long time to write this, partly because I have been “taking care of business”, but it is also because of our shared quality of taking care of others before ourselves….. The newest addition to your non-blood family, has helped me realize that YOU would want me to take care of myself as well. So I thank you for that much needed reminder. (But you know me, so keep them coming please).
I am really going to miss talking to you about the strange and unusual, and the looks Trish would give us. You know her facial expressions are priceless……and eating seafood!!! (Who is going to eat all that with me now???)
I promise to continue to look after Trish, Sid and Mason (and anyone else who may need it). I am going to do exactly what you would want me to do and that is to look after those who were closest to you. I hope that you are causing so much trouble up above and doing exactly what it is you love. I really believe you are somewhere truly amazing and you are finally able to rest that racing mind. I will never forget you. Goodbye, my brother. Until we meet again.

Perhaps they are not stars in the night sky but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.

Many years ago Sheldon saved my life. At that time he was going through his own struggle of healing from a collapsed lung. The memory of Sheldon and his selfless act will forever stay with me. Rest In Heavenly Peace ol friend. :(

I knew Sheldon for years growing up in Yarmouth. He was one of the nicest guys you could know, and I know that he will be missed by anyone that knew him. I'll always remember that semi curly haired mullet and leather jacket.
Rest in peace Sheldon.
