Obituary of Thelma Mae Burtch

BURTCH (PILGRIM), Thelma “Teddy” Mae (nee Fraser) - Passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on August 12, 2016 at Bluewater Rest Home. Beloved wife of the late Boyd Pilgrim (1975) and Clark Burtch (2001). Predeceased by her brother Clarence and sister Mable. Dear mother of Kent Pilgrim and Christopher Glenn Pilgrim (Pat). Dear aunt of Bonnie and Freda. Loving Grandmother of Christopher Pilgrim, Brittany Groot (Justin), Katherine Lankester (Thad), Sarah Feuerberg (Patrick), Aly Burtch, Angela McDonald (Chris), Emylee Meens (Mike), Natalie Meens, Madeline Burtch, Samantha, Kaitlyn and Alexis Burtch-Whitteker. Much loved great-grandmother of Bryson Pilgrim and Isla Groot. Will also be missed by Nancy Meens, Carolyn Burtch, Maryalice Bissell, Fred Meens and Al Whitteker. Predeceased by stepson Stephen Burtch. Thelma was an adventurer that traveled across Canada with the RCMP, met her husband and was stationed by the Hudson’s Bay Company in Salluit and Baker Lake, Nunavut where she started her family. She was fond of gardening, art, poetry and a true lover of learning. Special thanks to the kind staff of Bluewater Rest Home for their loving care and compassion.
