Obituary of John Antoine Arroyas

Jean Antoine Arroyas passed away peacefully at his home on August 24th 2018 in his 87th year surrounded by his family.  Beloved husband of Danielle Fantoni Arroyas for 60 years, dear father of Frederique, Franck (Heather), Jean-Luc and Beatrice (Mike), cherished grand-father of Nandi, Sebastian, Alexandre and Gabrielle, great-grandfather of Naomi Ruth, treasured brother of Christiane and Alain (Donna), remembered by many nieces and nephews, predeceased by his parents Antoine Arroyas and Dolores Salas, his brother Gérard and brother-in-law Étienne.  A heartfelt “thank you” to the many individuals involved in Jean’s well-being over the past few years. Born in Frenda, Algeria on December 10, 1931, Jean left Algeria in 1962 to settle in the village of Druye near the city of Tours, France.  He immigrated to London, Ontario in 1968 with his wife and four children and worked at the Ford Motor Company until his retirement.  With his wife, Danielle, he started the Weldwood Antiques Mall on Wharncliffe Road South in London. There will be no funeral service but donations in Jean’s memory may be made to Parkinson Canada Inc.
