Obituary of Martin Graham Whitehead

April 11, 1957- September 15, 2024

Peacefully, with his loving family by his side, Martin passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London, Ontario. 

Devoted husband and best friend for 47 years of Susan (née Sammons). 

Proud and loving father of Beth (Jonathan Purkis), Jonathan (Noel Huynh) and Adam (Elyse). Loved and adored by his granddaughters Alberta, Addison, Bretton and Amelia. He was their best Granddude. 

Beloved son of the late Pam and Roy Whitehead. 

Martin was so loved by his siblings John (Nikki Attwell), Susan (Mark Klages), Linda, Julie and Andrew (Melody). 

Loved also by Susan’s siblings Jon, Sandra (Danny O’Hara), Mary Jo (Jim Sidwell) and Elizabeth (Brian Harris). Also remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Martin was born in Huddersfield, England and emigrated with his family to Canada in 1968. He graduated from UWO and started his career in Information Technology in 1980 in Toronto. Martin finished his career as a Project Manager with IBM and retired in 2022. 

A private celebration of life is planned for a later date.
