I'm so incredibly sad to learn of lornes passing. I played with lorne many years ago in a small dance band. I was much younger but lorne was such a giving guide to me teaching me, helping me learn about music and life. Lorne selfless teachings are and will forever be part of my musical journey. My sincerest condolences to Lornes family. Rest easy my mentor, and my friend.

Ryan and Lorne have many fond memories. With Lorne, fun time laughing and sharing life's endless up and down, but our best time were when he played the piano for us, we enjoyed the jazz he would play, and he was a great inspiration for Ryan and Ryan continues to play guitar with very fond memories of Lorne, help guiding him to play in bands push himself to keep his music alive.
Thank you Lorne for all our wonderful memories. God speed, you will be missed love, from.

My Condolence to Lorne's family.
I met Lorne in the early part of the 1960s. We had formed a teenage band and practiced in his parents' basement.
We played a few school dances and dances in various church basements.
While none of us could read notes, we relied on Lorne's expertise to guide us with our songs and arrangements.
Over time, we went separate ways due to work choices and educational pursuits, but, because of the internet, and my friend and Lorne's friend Helli, we were able to connect again after about 60 years.
During the last few years we were able to get together for a coffee and chat about music and politics. When we were not able to meet in person, we would have long conversations over the phone about the good old days, bands and music in general.
I will miss Lorne, his friendship and our conversations. Rest in peace my friend.

Very sad to learn of Lorne’s passing. I did not know he was ill We kind of lost touch over the years. We worked together at Melodyland keyboards sales in Kitchener in the 80s & became friends. He was the manager. I was at many of those Kitchener Ranger games when he played the organ. I think Lorne was a good & decent gentleman. He was kind to me. He was an excellent keyboardist/ musician. Sympathies to the family & friends. RIP.

I remember Lorne from the mid-60's when we were both young musicians hoping for success in the biz. Lorne's long career as a player and teacher testify to his talent and skill. What they don't reference is that Lorne was also a particularly nice guy, as the many friends he made over the years will certainly attest to. I regret we never played together but I will cherish his memory as a fellow musician for whom music wasn't what he did, but what he was. RIP, old friend.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of your father. I first met Lorne in 1957. He was my first friend after arriving in Canada. We both lived on Lorne Ave. in London. Lorne and I kept in touch over the years. I'll miss him.

It was an honour to work with Lorne in DLK and the Apostles during the 60's. Enjoyed every minute of it. Lorne was one of the few to come out of that era that could make a life long living out of music which would be very difficult to do today. You could feel the joy he had in playing and would tell us stories about his musician experiences. (some can not be put on the record) We loved him and we express our condolences to his family and friends. RIP Ron & Maureen

Many fond memories of Lorne. He was instrumental in bringing Michael Curtis back into the music realm after he returned from California. We enjoyed many times with the band in various locations in London and Toronto. RIP Lorne.
