Auntie Joan was a beautiful and kind soul. She was always so warm and welcoming to me when I became part of the family and I will always cherish my time with her. Dear David and family, With a heavy heart and sadness we send our condolences to you and family and share your grief ! I wish we have not lost contact all these years … I have fond memories of Joan and cherish the time we had adventures and journey we shared in the good old days in Oxford and London. She has been remarkable in so many ways and I am grateful of what we have shared .., wish I had been able to give her more support when she was not well all these years! She will be missed by many and her memory will live on. We moved to Australia 1984 and now living in Melbourne after Adelaide. Dear David and Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your loving and beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother. I met her a couple of times, volunteering at our kids 'grade school (Jeanne Sauve) and again golfing with you at the LHSC Golf Tournament. I was taken by her calm, caring and strong character, even in those brief interactions. Her beautiful tribute makes it clear that you have many wonderful memories of Joan. Dear David and family. Such a beautifully written tribute. I'm so sorry to hear about Joan, but she will be lovingly remembered by her friends, family and colleagues. It seems that she had a profound and positive affect on all those she encountered. I only met her a few times and recall her being a quiet, dignified and graceful lady. The photo was taken in 2015 for Joan's birthday. We remember her as the "Iron Lady", Joan of Arc ! We all miss your humour. We enjoyed having you as a golf buddy, your travel companionship and a good neighbour.
