The Mudders came out of the basement for our first public gig, a birthday celebration at Roger and Gail Ward's, on a beautiful, warm, sunny day on their back deck. We agreed (unusually so) to open up the show with a Garth staple and favourite, 'Folsom Prison Blues'. As we readied, Garth ambles up to the mike, and in a typically gentle, soulful drawl, exclaims, "Hello, I'm Johnny Cash". And, with Garth's distinctive opening riff, we were off. I realized then, and still do, that we were in the company of musical genius! The rest is history. And, as my brother in law Jason quipped recently, "the most talented Mudder, for sure." I'm good with that!
Forever remembered and loved....Garth, our very special 'Country Mudder.'

We have so many wonderful memories of our times together. From being the best man at our wedding, godfather to our oldest Katelyn to the family backyard campouts. Your love of family and friends was always visible. We will miss you and I'm sure David and Alan have already got you on the links. All our love to Cathy, Jessica and Jake at this difficult time. May your many memories bring you comfort.
