Obituary of Nellie Stevens

Passed away peacefully on January 8th, 2024 at the age of 80. Beloved mother of Gary Stevens, Gayle Stevens and David (May) Stevens. Cherished grandmother of Chris Trainor. Predeceased by her son Marty Stevens (2012). Nellie was a long time Associate Member and 1st Vice President and past President of the Royal Canadian Legion "Victory" Branch #317. One of Nellie's vivid memories of conflict were the Canadian troops that were involved in Holland during the war and that is something that she, and her father, never forgot. She remembered her dad “hiding” people in a loft in their home back in Holland, and hiding the ladder that got them up there. That’s the kind of person she became too. She would do anything to help someone in need. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion "Victory" Branch #317, on January 20 starting at 11:00 through to 2:00 pm.  The Branch is located at 311 Oakland Ave London ON, 519 455-2331, soup and sandwiches after the service, everyone is welcome to attend. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion "Victory" Branch #317  would be appreciated by the family.
