Obituary of Winnifred May Kilbourne

KILBOURNE, Winnifred (“Winnie”) May

Passed away peacefully at home with her son and daughter nearby in London, Ontario on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband David (“Dave”) Kilbourne. Loving mother of Dave (“Randy”) Kilbourne (Theresa) and Cheryl Cogan (Dan), and loving grandma to Josh Cogan, all of London, Ontario. Also loving grandmother to Steven Kilbourne of Manitoba. She will also be greatly missed by her loving furry 4-legged feline companion “Cleo”.   

Predeceased by her parents Doris and Edward Parsons, sister Joan Fordham, and brother-in-law Doug Kilbourne. And also predeceased by one of her beloved 4-legged K-9 companions “Billy Bob”, amongst many others. Lovingly remembered by sisters-in-law Jeanette Kilbourne, Dorothy Dale, Betty Venner and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

We are so proud of you for fighting your battle as hard as you did during this past year. Rest in peace now and soar high in the skies, we know you will be checking in on us from time to time. We will truly miss you everyday and love you forever in our hearts.  

Cremation has been arranged at Woodland Cemetery in London, Ontario with internment of cremated remains also being at Woodland Cemetery with a private family graveside service to be arranged at a later date. Those wishing to donate in memory of “Winnie” are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society, Brain Tumour Association, Kidney Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
