Obituary of John Victor Day

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of John Victor Day. Which occurred on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at his residence. Born on September 29,1951 in Vancouver, BC. 

John was a loving father to his  daughter Heather Collins (Jamie); Cherished “Apple” to his Granddaughters Madison and Haley Lyon all from Burtt’s Corner, NB. He is also survived by his Brother Gord  Day of Massey, Ont.  and his chosen family Zach English , Alyssa English, Danielle English, Gord English, Rosie English , Aiden English and Ethan English all from London, Ont. 

John was predeceased by his siblings Bobby Day, Sandra Harris and Linda Jackson all from London, Ont; Step Father Edward George Crick of Nairn Centre, Ont and his beloved Best Friend and Companion Beth English of London, Ont. 

John served in the Canadian Air Force for 27 years which gave him the opportunity  to travel the world. Giving him countless stories he shared with family and friends over the years. He was also involved in countless Search and Rescues while in service. He then went on to worked as a mechanic for Fleetway in London, Ont. for  many years which he really enjoyed and made some great friendships lasting into retirement such as Sandy Ross. 

In his retirement John enjoyed helping Zach with his wood working, hunting with his brother Gord, cooking meals for the homeless and visiting with his daughter Heather and her family. 

Following his wishes there will be no visitation or funeral services. The family would like to thank his family Doctor, Dr. Rachel Beretta for taking such great care of him over the years.
