Obituary of Henry Hendriks

Henry Hendriks passed away at the age of 68 on November 1, 2023, due to complications following surgery. At the time of his passing, Henry was surrounded by his family and pastor.

Survived by his wife Janice, children Michael and Kate, mother Theresa Jensen and siblings Liz, John (Deb) and Cindy (Sean). Pre-deceased by his biological father Hank Hendriks and loving step-father Peter Jensen. 

A devoted family man and Christian, Henry was known for his servant's heart, always willing and ready to lend a helping hand. If someone needed help, he was there.

After he retired from a successful career as a professional engineer, he opened a small business to provide seniors with affordable handyman services.

Henry enjoyed spending his time gardening, fixing things, feeding the birds, working on his old truck, taking walks with his wife, having Friday night suppers with his family and snuggling up with his dog Millie while watching TV.

Henry's celebration of life will be on Friday, November 17, at 11 a.m. at Byron United Church. Visitation will be held an hour prior (10 a.m.). Donations can be made to either Paws United Dog Rescue or Byron United Church's Memorial & Honour Fund.
