Obituary of Sylvia Irene Wright

Sylvia Wright (nee Larabie)

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Parkwood Hospital in London, on Wednesday November 1^st, 2023, in her 84^th year.  Cherished mother of Karen Aubin of Ingersoll, Kimberley (David) Pallett of London and Lynn (Bob) MacDougall of Pembroke. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Kathryn (Elliott) Gracey of Brantford, Adrien Aubin and Paul Aubin of Ingersoll, Elaine (Adrian) Matthewman and Sarah Pallett of London, Julia MacDougall, and Sabrina MacDougall of Pembroke.  Great-Nana to Sophie Gracey and James Matthewman. Survived by her sister Evelyn Ranger (Victoria, BC), sisters-in-law, Therese Larabie (Surrey, BC) and Helen Warren (Trenton, Michigan).  Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbours.

Sylvia was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Udgère Larabie, her husband Hugh Wright (1980), her son-in-law Jean Aubin (2011) and brother Eugène (Bucky) Larabie (2014).

Sylvia worked many years as an X-Ray Technician and an Ultrasound Sonographer. She loved the outdoors and until recently enjoyed walking in Springbank Park near her residence. Sylvia enjoyed her many trips travelling around the world with friends and family. Sylvia and Karen travelled on frequent trips in Karen’s truck camper throughout Canada. In Sylvia’s quiet time at home, she was an avid reader.

Cremation has taken place at Woodland Cemetery in London.  The family of Sylvia Wright will receive family and friends on Friday, November 10^th, 2023 at St. George Catholic Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London, Ontario, from 11:00 am until the time of the Memorial Mass at Noon.  A luncheon will be served after the Mass.  A celebration of life will take place at Cobalt, Ontario in the late spring of 2024.  After the Celebration of life, a private burial will take place at Ste.
