Obituary of Peter Maurice Bell

BELL, PETER MAURICE

On November 18, 2017 Maurice passed away peacefully at Parkwood Institute from complications of Parkinson's Disease.    Son of the late Alex & Minnie Bell.   Beloved husband of Helen.   Dearly loved father of Karen, husband Richard Brien, Amanda, husband Rob Suzuki, Isla, husband Tom Stadnisky, and grandfather of Claire, Hannah, & Andrew Brien, Nick & Ryan Suzuki, Abbey and Tate Stadnisky. Dear brother of Jill Bell, and to the late Louise Kerr.

Maurice was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and never lost his love for Scotland, returning often with Helen to see family and friends, and to play golf.  Together with Helen he loved to Scottish Country Dance and was an enthusiastic member of the London Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.   Over the years he was an active and committed volunteer in the United Church and participated as a Church representative lay member of Middlesex Presbytery. Maurice was a chemical engineer who specialized in soya bean food processing. He travelled world wide to establish food processing plants, to train personnel, and to help underdeveloped countries with food production.

A Memorial Service will take place at Colborne Street United Church, 711 Colborne Street, London, ON on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place.
