Obituary of Ken Morris
Kenneth Ray Morris, 74, of London Ontario, passed away peacefully at University Hospital on June 5, 2023. Beloved husband of Ann Clark. Predeceased by parents Jean (nee Walker) and Ray Morris, his sister and brother-in-law Pat and Mike Piehler and his niece Lisa Piehler.
Cherished father of Jeff Morris (Sarah Hassan). Devoted grandfather of Logan and Kristina Morris. Much loved brother of Kathy (Dave) Bellamy. Loving uncle of Lori DeLaurier and family. Dearest friend of Barry & Eileen and John & Nancy.
Ken was a man of many talents. He enjoyed boating in Port Stanley, fishing in Northern Ontario and was an avid photographer. He researched everything and was the "go to guy" for any computer related advice for many friends and family. Despite referring to himself as "Mr. Perfect", he was modest about his talents. He loved tinkering at his workbench on various projects and was a dab hand at Sudoko.
Ken earned his C.A. designation December 5, 1974 while working at Price Waterhouse after graduating from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Math in 1971. He forged strong friendships while articling at PW that stretched to almost 50 years and held a great meaning for him. Thanks to Pat and Joanne, Mike and Chris, Brian and Janice for many wonderful memories, laughs and the occasional offbeat photo ops!
Ken was proud of the years he spent with Sifton Properties of London as the VP of Finance and the relationships he built which continued over the years. Coffee with the “Sifton Crew” – Warren, Barry, Dave and Sharon – was always much anticipated and always enjoyed.
Ken also leaves his colleagues and friends from the former Jager Homes in Calgary, Alberta. Paul, Curtis, Jim, Penny: you always kept in touch over the years and he always loved hearing from you.
A special thanks to all involved in Ken’s treatment and to the nurses, PSWs, OT and PT professionals on the 8th and Palliative Care floors.
In honour of Ken, please listen to the Beatles “With A Little Help From My Friends” and cherish those around you. Please consider donations to the St. Joseph’s Hospice, 485 Windermere Rd., Wellspring London and Region, 382 Waterloo St. London, Ontario N6B 2N8, or charity of your choice in lieu of flowers. A Celebration of Ken’s Life will take place at a later date.
