Obituary of Stewart Alexander McLean
It is with great sadness that the family of Stewart Alexander McLean announce his passing on Tuesday, April 17, 2023 in his 70th year.
Cherished husband of Jean McLean (Nolan) for nearly 50 years. Devoted father to Jason and Holly McLean of Amherstburg and Jennifer and David Maguire of Grand Bend. A proud Grandfather to James and Nolan McLean and Poppa to Abby and Emma Maguire.
Predeceased by parents Don and Betty McLean and sister Cathy Drake (Gary) In-laws, Dennis and Anne Nolan. Survived by brother Ken (Shirley) McLean and sister Susan Armstrong (Earl) and his many nieces and nephews.
Stewart spent many years at Chubb Security, where he had many wonderful colleagues and enjoyed numerous team building exercises involving baseball and hockey. He enjoyed many summers at their trailer in Bayfield, travelling the world with Jean and in his later years, following his grandchildren’s sporting adventures. He loved his sports and was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs.
As per Stewart's wishes, a cremation has taken place and a private service for the scattering of his ashes in Woodland Cemetery is planned.
