Obituary of Frederick James Dewbury

Frederick James Dewbury October 7, 1929 At this time our hearts are filled with sadness as we announce the passing of Fred on June 22, 2016 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of 60 years to Marion (Boyne) Dewbury and father of six children all of London – David Dewbury (Laurie); Donald Dewbury (Diana); Dorothea Kedzierski (Fred); Donna & David Byers; Deborah & Dominic Langley; and Mary Jane & Todd Blackport. He will be deeply missed by 13 grandchildren (Teresa; Lisa; Angela; Sarah; Andrea; Leanne; Heather; Bill; Joshua; Hannah; Landon; Natalia; and Elliott) and 16 great grandchildren. Fred was from Harriston, Ontario, son of William and Alexia, and one of eight children – six brothers and two sisters. Fred enjoyed a long career at Beaver Foods. Following retirement, Fred spent many years enjoying his love for nature and animals, tending the petting zoo at Happy Hills where children and their families fondly referred to him as “Farmer Fred”. On June 29, a visitation (10-11am) and a funeral service (11am) will be held at Riverside United Church (695 Riverside Drive). A reception will follow at the church.
