Dear John, Jill, Michael and William ~
I'm so sorry for the loss of your wife, mother and sister. I'm a former elementary- and high-school classmate and friend of Jane's, and just now learned of her death. I met Jane when I was 10 years old and started Grade 7 in a new (to me) school, Westminster Central, south of London. I knew no-one that first day of school, but to my good fortune, Jane's desk was in the row next to mine, and she spoke to me and made me feel welcome that first day. Jane was my first real friend, and I have have many fond memories of her kindness, generosity of spirit, quick wit, intelligence and sense of humour. She was also, even at that young age, a gifted artist and I recall being so envious of her ability to draw. She also had the most beautiful handwriting I had ever seen! I'm sorry that Jane and I lost touch after high school but she clearly was loved by both her patients and her colleagues, and in her broader community. May her memory be a blessing to all of you. Warmly, Barbara Warren.
