Obituary of Sarah Jane Matthews

Our family lost our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother today.  Sarah Jane Matthews (nee Golden) passed away on August 19, 2022 at the age of 90.  She was born May 3, 1932 in Glen Sanfield, ON.  She is predeceased by her beloved husband Edwin (2017).  Left with sad hearts, but wonderful memories are her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.  Sarah shared her love of family, cooking, baking and needlepoint with all of us.  She was a kind person who was always there for her family, friends and anyone who needed her.

The family gives their deepest gratitude and thanks to all the nursing staff at Meadow Park London Long Term Care, where Sarah had been a resident since April 2014. 

Cremation has taken place.  A private family service will be held at Woodland Cemetery.  Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family through woodlandcemetery.ca
