Obituary of Simon Gerardus Sneekes
Peacefully, with family by his side, at Mt. Hope on Wednesday Aug. 17, 2022, Simon Gerardus Sneekes of London in his 90th year. Beloved husband of 66 years of Anna (Annie). Cherished father of Cornel, Carol (John), Cathy (Stephen), and Bill (Kelly). Proudest grandpa to Clayton, Melissa, Darlene, Christina, Jordan, Taylor and 8 Great grandchildren. Son of Catharina and Cornelis Sneekes (predeceased). Dear brother of Toos, Gerard, Wilma, and Arcadia (predeceased by Rie, Ans, Nelly, Ber, Cor, Jan, and Theo). Also survived and missed by in-laws John, Corrie, Jaap, Atie, Irma, Tony, Jean and Jim (predeceased by John, Joanne, Corrie and Willy). Simon will be lovingly missed by several nieces and nephews in Canada, U.S. and Holland. Heartfelt gratitude to the staff of 5th Floor Marian Villa for their care. Simon immigrated in 1953 from Holland. His tremendous love of life, laughter, soccer, and above all – family, is already missed. Cremation has taken place and a service and celebration of life will take place at St. George Parish 1164 Commissioners Rd. W, London on Friday September 9th at 11:00 a.m.
