Obituary of Mary Campbell Swindall

Swindall, Mary Campbell (nee Scott) Passed away peacefully at McCormick Home, London, Ontario, on June 17, 2022, in her 90th year. Devoted wife of 64 years to the late Donald Ernest Swindall. Loving mother of Bill (May), Mary Jayne Bambury (Pete) and Paul. Cherished grandmother of Derek (Laura), Matthew, Laura (Cody), Erin (Roger), Alex (Derek), Kelsey, Shawn and David; great-grandmother of Reese, Addison, Evey, Johnathan, Hanna,  Sophie, Scarlett and Kyla. Dear sister of Jean Oppenhauser, Yvonne Tinning, Patricia Patterson (Ron). Predeceased by brothers and sisters Audrey (Brydges) , Ken, Fred, Ruth (Millington), Dorothy (Miller). Mary will be missed by her many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She will also be missed by her church family at Byron United where she was a member for 63 years. Mary will be remembered as a hard working, dedicated mother, and a loving sister to her large group of siblings. She approached life head on, with a perspective that there was not anything that hard work, dedication and love couldn't overcome. Mary possessed many talents. She was a seamstress, quilter, baker, artist, calligrapher and spent many happy hours working on the family genealogy. Mary loved learning and enjoyed traveling the world with the love of her life, Don.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Mary are asked to consider the Alzheimer's Society of Canada or the charity of your choice.
