Good morning! Just recently I found out about Brett’s passing and just wanted to share how sorry I am for such a loss. I too lost my brother, Joey, four years ago. It’s a terrible grief to go through, so I know how much it affects a family. I also wanted you to know much he meant to me in high school. We became friends quickly when taking Theatre Arts together, and he also got me one of my first jobs with his mom at The Mississauga Golf Club as a weekend receptionist. He was one of the my greatest memories in high school and although we never saw each other much after high school ended, he’s always meant so much to me! One of the nicest things he did one Valentine’s Day was to bring me a rose ,he not only made my day, but made me feel cared for. I hope he was happy in his life and I want you to know his death is very sad for me! He’ll forever hold a special place in my memories even though our time together was brief. I’ll always, always remember his kind heart and smile.
I hope you find peace and happiness knowing he was a wonderful person!

I recall playing hockey on an outdoor rink with Brett. Before the game was over, Brett, in a chaotic, take-no-prisoners approach to the game, had hit or sidelined most of the players on the ice, although most of it was inadvertant. When asked about it later, Brett expressed surprise that his performance was anything out of the ordinary! Condolences to the Gintys in the loss of this lovable, impetuous redhead.
