My condolences to Al's Family and those who mourn his passing. I worked with Al at the RCMP and he was a true blessing in projects that we worked together on. He brought a never ending sense of humour to every situation. Many of my favourite memories of the those years involve Al! Thank you Al for the friendship, the many laughs and the time of support. Rest in peace! I consider him a dear friend and will always miss him!

Oh My Gosh, Pat and I are really sorry to hear about the passing of AL. He was, “larger than life” in Beausejour and a great story teller. I called out to my wife Pat in the house this morning, “Sweetheart, Al Glover passed away,” to which she immediately responded from across the house, “You mean the fellow with the electrical capacitor and the dog?” See. . . .41 years later, and we are still laughing about that story!” We were transferred from Winnipeg to Ottawa then Vancouver and lost touch, but I have told Al’s story many a time over the years. I am sure he regaled many a family member and friends with his hilarious stories over the years. We have lost a great story teller and wonderful fellow. Sorry for your loss. Tom and Pat Larkin.

First met Al when he walked into our Section at CFS Dana, SK. Since then, over the next 54 years with our postings and jobs we have stayed in touch with each other. During our associations in Canada and West Germany, our families have had the good fortune to enjoy numerous visits, trips, dinners, as we watched our families grow. The years were filled with laughter, good times, and some tears. Al touched everyone in the room with his personality and large presence. Sandra and I feel hugely blessed and lucky to have had Al and Linda as such a large part of our lives. Al, you definitely made your mark on anybody who knew you BIG GUY. Our deepest condolences Shane and Allen. Rest in Peace. Your friends, Tom & Sandy Elliott

Bill on the left, Lorne on the right with Al for lunch in London back in 2013 after we all of retired from the RCMP. We all had the same job and we were all loving retirement ! Al and I shared a common bond with both of us being ex military as well. We used to sit around telling old military tales over a beer and Al playing guitar. Al was a great guy and will be miss dearly !!! RIP my old friend. Bill Reid
