Obituary of Bernadette Fitzpatrick
Bernadette Fitzpatrick (née Brady) passed away peacefully at Westmount Gardens, London, on Thursday Sep 28th, surrounded by her family. Reunited in heaven with her loving husband John.
Beloved mother of Bernadette (Matt), Charlotte (Eric), Sean (Rachelle), Neil, and Kevin (Karen).
Cherished grandmother of Heather (Michael), John, Paul, Brian, Colin, and Danielle. Proud great-grandmother of Allison, Emily, and Andrew.
She will be sadly missed by her sister Eilish (John), survived by her brother Sean of England, and many nieces and nephews.
In 1957 Bernadette emigrated from Northern Ireland to Toronto where she married and raised her family. Bernadette’s life centred around her husband and their children. Their family grew to include loving sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, and was further blessed with the addition of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bernadette loved her backyard gardens and she and Dad hosted countless gatherings at their home. Many great memories were made by family and friends around the pool on hot summer days and nights. Numerous lives are richer for having spent time with Bernadette.
Bernadette spent her last few years at Westmount Gardens in London. Heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses and all the many staff for their compassionate, kind and professional care.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral mass to be held on Saturday Oct 7th at 10am at St. George Catholic Church, 1164 Commissioners Rd W, London, Ontario. Reception to follow in the church hall. Entombment will take place at 1:00pm at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 806 Victoria St London, Ontario.
I am at peace, my souls at rest
There is no need for tears
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years
There is no pain, I suffer not
The fear is now all gone
Put now these things out of your thoughts
In your memory, I live on
(unknown)
