Obituary of Leena Marianne Kotipelto
Leena Marianne Kotipelto
November 6 1959 – November 8 2025
It is with sad hearts that we announce, on November 8th 2025, days after her 66th birthday, at University Hospital London, surrounded by loving family, the passing of Leena Kotipelto.
Leena was born in Sudbury, Ontario, a few years after her parents immigrated from Finland to Canada, where she attended Lockerby Composite followed by Cambrian College in her post secondary school years. Leena moved to London with her sister, Liisa, in her early adult life.
During her time in London, Leena found her soulmate, Thomas and had their daughter Sarah. Leena worked for 40 years at Fatty Patty’s, where she was loved and admired by both colleagues (most who became like family) and customers. Leena spent her time being a devoted wife and mother, a lover of nature, walking, and reading, and of course, watching Judge Judy. Leena was a witty woman, full of spunk and love. She was a caring and compassionate woman, who would always offer more than receive. Leena was a hard worker and kind soul. Leena was the best mom ever. She will be remembered for her never-ending strength, love and wonderful sense of humor.
Leena was the youngest daughter of Eero Kotipelto and Kirsti Kotipelto (predeceased), and the youngest sibling of Juhani (predeceased), Hannu (predeceased) and Liisa (living).
Leena will be eternally missed and loved by her husband Thomas Robertson, her daughter Sarah Kotipelto (Sheldon), her step-children, her step-grandchildren, sister and many friends.
Leena’s legacy of strength and humor will forever live on in her daughter, Sarah.
“Do not mourn for me, for I have had a great life. I met my true soulmate and gave birth to my beautiful daughter.”
